Engineer by trade, security-minded by conviction.

I'm Rishi Raj, a cloud devsecops engineer based in Bengaluru, India. I work at the intersection of two disciplines that too often live in separate teams: building cloud platforms fast, and keeping them safe.

My path started with an AWS internship in 2020, ran through cloud research and consulting at CloudThat — where I led real migrations for clients like Twilio and LIC — into multi-cloud DevOps consulting at Cognizant Servian, and today I work as a Security Engineer at Deloitte, focused on cloud security across AWS, Azure and GCP.

Fun fact: my very first internship project was building a blog website with WordPress. Years later I built this site — including its blog — with no CMS, no database and no server at all. That journey from "install a platform" to "architect it away" pretty much sums up how I think about engineering.

    • Previously Solution Advisor within the same practice.

  2. Cognizant Servian

    Associate Consultant — Cloud & DevOps

    • Led migration from on-premise to AWS, Azure and GCP, creating a versatile multi-cloud environment.
    • Implemented Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for automated provisioning of VMs, networking and ECS clusters.
    • Established GitLab version control and CI/CD pipelines for collaborative development and automated deployment.
    • Containerized workloads with Docker orchestrated on Amazon ECS; drove security, compliance and cost-optimization audits.

    • Infrastructure automation & migration for Twilio — Terraform Cloud for centralized collaboration, AWS DMS and MGN for database and application migration.
    • On-premises → AWS migration for LIC — highly available, fault-tolerant architecture on EC2, RDS MySQL, ALB, Auto Scaling, IAM, S3, ACM and Route 53.
    • Built a Well-Architected Review automation tool for Porter using API Gateway, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch and IAM.
